Welcome back!

It can't possibly be the first play - I haven't had my summer holiday yet!

What a busy time we've had!  Since the delightful "Don't Listen Ladies", we have both discovered and treated the dry rot in the cellar, had a new boiler installed, a chimney removed, and the furniture store completely emptied and refilled.

Janet Reidsma has undertaken a complete overhaul of our "Script Crypt",   Vicki    Lane   has   been   arranging casts and plays to delight you this season, Val Harris has been writing songs for the pantomime, and I've been processing hundreds of membership renewals, for which my thanks!  And if you haven't sent in your membership renewal yet, why not??

And before we've had time to breathe, here I am welcoming you all back to the 2000-2001 season, and starting the whole process over again.

Inside this issue:

Before I tell you about the first play, let me say that I hope you've all had a good summer.  I know the weather hasn't always been on our side, but we've had the occasional spot of sun, and maybe you've managed to catch some warmth abroad.  (I was rained on in Abersoch, but it was fun.)  So welcome back to another season, keep well, and we hope you enjoy the first play we have for you this season.

Double Cut, by Alfred Shaughnessy
15-21st October 2000

Olivia is the daughter of a wealthy South African magnate - but on his death the hoard of diamonds from the bank vaults had disappeared.  One year later, while recovering from an illness in Spain, Olivia becomes the victim of an intricate plot to find the diamonds, which someone believes she  stole.    Will  she  be  able  to

persuade the Poliçia inspector to help her, or will the man who seems to know everything about her manage to get what he wants?

This is a fantastic thriller, which will keep you on the edge of your seats from the start.  Book now to avoid disappointment!
